FALL RIVER – Julio V. Rebelo, age 85 of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, he was the son of the late Julio & the late Julia (Valente) Rebelo. Prior to retiring, Julio worked as a Construction laborer, and during his retirement, he worked as a maintenance man at Battleship Cove. He was also a member of the Excavators Union Local 731, and served in the Portuguese Army
He is survived by his life partner of 45 yrs.: Carolyn Costa Guedes; his 2 children: Ana Rebelo of Fall River, and Jaimie Sousa of NY; 7 grandchildren: Jessica, Paula, Vanessa, Zoltan, Michael, Andrew, and Daniel; 1 great granddaughter; Payton; 2 step-daughters: Destiny & Kiara; step-granddaughter: Lylianni; sisters: Carolina, Julia, Celina, and Luisa; and several nieces & nephews.
Julio’s Funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday, April 13th at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday, April 12th from 5-8 p.m.
