Obituary

Mark Francis Perry, 59, passed away unexpectedly in Marblehead, MA on April 9, 2019 of cardiac arrest. He was born in Salem to the late Francis Joseph and Rita Frawley (Ward) Perry. He lived in Marblehead with his partner and best friend, Susan (Sue) MacInnis. He and Sue enjoyed taking road trips, most recently to P.E.I and New Brunswick to research family genealogy.
Mark graduated in 1978 from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, and was a member of the men’s track team. He went on to graduate from Fitchburg State with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts. Growing up, Mark loved being a boy scout. He had many hobbies, including cruising on his Triumph motorcycle but always enjoyed being out on the ocean, rowing, racing, or cruising. His love of working on, repairing, and building boats led to a career of boat repair and work on delivering boats around the Atlantic. Mark was a MA-licensed Construction Supervisor, taking great pride in his craft restoring Northshore homes, mainly in Marblehead. He was an avid golfer, a great cook, and a member of the Free Masons and Ancient Order of Hibernians. Mark especially cherished his time with family and friends, and he made it a priority to keep his extended family close. He also loved his community in Marblehead and in years past held many Shanty parties in his shop at Redd’s pond. Most of all, Mark was a generous, supportive person, and a caring friend to all.
In addition to his partner Sue; he is survived by his brother, David L. Perry and his wife Denise J. of Eliot, ME, sister-in-law Denise Perry of Florida, Aunts and Uncles, Simone (Perry) Roy of Peabody, Peter & Vivian (Perry) Mandragouras of N. Reading, Daniel & Joan Ward of California, nieces, Jessica Perry, Harmony Brown & Tracy Rocheleau, nephew, Alex Perry and wife Alexandria, and grandniece, Natalya.
