James Bradford Smith, age 67, of Red Oak, VA, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019. He was born November 21, 1951 in Halifax County, VA and is the son of Frances Hayes Smith and the late James Robertson Smith.
Brad is survived by his wife, Hazel Jean Bowman Smith; two daughters, Jaclyn Smith Watson and Jamie Smith Garner and husband, John; and one granddaughter, Josalyn Sydney Garner. He is also survived by his brother, Ron Smith and wife, Kathy; sister, Teresa Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; and devoted friends, Herman Covington and Jerry Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Private interment will follow at the Mills Family Cemetery in Red Oak, VA.
