Obituary


Eric S. Thorpe, age 44, of Lexington formerly of Arlington and Woburn, passed away unexpectedly April 4, 2019 at his home in Lexington. Born in Concord he was the son of Karen (Alexander) Thorpe of Woburn and the late Peter R. Thorpe.

Eric was raised in Woburn and was an avid sports fan. He loved all the Boston teams but his favorite team to follow was his beloved New England Patriots. When Eric was not watching a sporting event he loved listening to music and especially the music of Ray Charles. Eric was happiest when he was surrounded by family. He loved to spend time with his late grandparents, the Alexanders, prior to their passing, and he also cherished spending time with his niece, Beth O'Donnell. Eric was a member of Potter Place in Waltham where he had many dear friends.

In addition to his late father and grandparents, Eric is sadly predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Thorpe.

He is survived by his devoted and beloved mother Karen Thorpe of Woburn. He was the nephew of Mark Alexander and his wife Cindy of Tyngsboro, Nancy Patterson and her husband Jeff of Bedford. He is further survived by his cousins Thomas O'Donnell and Blake Alexander both of Tyngsboro.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather for calling hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Friday, April 12th, from 4 to 7 p.m. services will conclude with a prayer service starting at 7 p.m. In keeping with Eric's wishes all are encouraged to please wear their favorite New England Patriots attire. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Eric's memory to the Edinburg Center, 205 Burlington Rd., Bedford, MA 01730.
