George H. Lindh, 89, of Hooksett, died January 2, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua.
Born in Hooksett on May 12, 1916, he was the son of Gustave and Eva (Hayes) Lindh. He was a parishioner of St. Catherine Parish.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps-Air Force with 37 years of service, later he worked at the New Boston Tracking Station.
Mr. Lindh served as a Police Commissioner for the Town of Hooksett Police Department for 13 years, and was a member of the Hooksettites. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 37 in Hooksett as well as the VFW #8214. He belonged to the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Mr. Lindh was an avid hunter and fishermen, who enjoyed playing cards, especially whist, with his wife.
Family members inclued his wife of 64 years, Germaine(Bisson) Lindh, of Hooksett; 3 daughters, Barbara Bouchard, of Manchester, Carol Papp, of Fairfield CT, Joanne Thompson, of Blacke Forest, CO; 2 sons, Attorney George W. Lindh, of Jacksonville FL, Michael Lindh, of Hooksett; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday January 5, 2006 in St. Catherine Church, 207 Hemlock St. Manchester.
Burial will take place in the Spring at Martins Corner Cemetery, Hooksett.
