Richard R. Latour 70 of 86 McArthur Rd. Woonsocket died Sunday at home. He was the husband of Pauline (Garneau) Latour. Mr. Latour was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Lionel and Eva (Vallee) Latour.
Mr. Latour was employed by the City of Woonsocket as an Assistant Building Inspector, retiring eight years ago. He was also a Construction Superintendent for several Boston Area Construction Companies including Barkin Construction, Walsh Brothers, and Wexler Construction where he worked for twenty years. Mr. Latour was an Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local # 40 in Boston MA, an East Woonsocket Little League Coach for many years, and served on the St. Joseph’s Church Building Committee.
Besides his wife he leaves three sons Paul R. Latour of Dublin CA, Raymond D. Latour of N. Smithfield, and Marc E. Latour of Webster MA, a daughter Michelle A. Coffey of Harrisville, two sisters Rachel Labreche of Woonsocket and Paulette Delisle of Manville, and nine grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland.
