Elaine S. Russell Morabito, 72

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Elaine S. (Spector) Russell Morabito, age 72, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the embracing love of her adoring family, on Saturday, March 30, 2019. She was the beloved wife of John D. Morabito, to whom she was wed for the past thirty-seven years.

Born in Boston, MA on September 9, 1946, she was a loving daughter of the late Kieve and Marion (Lishner) Spector.

Elaine grew up in Peabody and was a 1964 graduate of Peabody High School. She furthered her studies, graduating in 1966 with an associate degree from the Chandler School for Women.

A resident of Mansfield for the past thirty-seven years, Elaine was a retired retail merchandiser and had previously been employed as a bookkeeper at several Friendly’s Restaurants and also as a former usher for many years at the Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts in Mansfield.

Elaine’s treasured family was the focal point and main ingredient in her life. She was a proud member of the DES Daughters Support Group and was also a member of the Book Club at the Mansfield Senior Center. Her favorite pastimes were vacationing in Florida, spending time in her motorhome, especially at Horseneck Beach and she will always be remembered for her special love and kindness for animals

In addition to her husband, she is survived by devoted children: Bryan Russell and his wife Maura of Florida, Marcy Russell of Mansfield, Mark Morabito and his wife Jennifer of Norton and Kristin Bedard and her husband Michael of Peabody. She was the cherished grandmother of Cyle Russell, Corey Russell, Brandon Morabito, Ryan Morabito, Jake Bedard and Evan Bedard. She was the dear sister of Muriel Sacramone and her husband Frank of Peabody. She was the former wife of the late Thomas Russell and is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of her life on Tuesday, April 2nd at 12:30 P.M. in the Tuscany Room at the Chateau Restaurant, 48 Bay Road, Norton.

Visitation will take place in the Tuscany Room prior to the service beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday morning.
