Richard F. Mahoney, a resident of Somerville, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Sunday, March 24, 2019 in his home. He was 75 years of age.
Richard was born in Cambridge on January 16, 1944, a son of the late John Mahoney and Jennie (Salines) Mahoney. He grew up in Cambridge where he attended St. Francis Parochial School and graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. Richard was a member of the Teamsters Local #25 and worked as a truck driver for over 25 years. He later worked as a custodian for the City of Somerville for 10 years.
Richard is the beloved husband of the late Janice M. (Kidik) Mahoney. He is the devoted father of Jennifer Mahoney Blaikie and her husband Peter of Somerville, and Brenda Miniscalco and her husband Dennis of Saugus. He is the loving Pa of Patrick Blaikie, Eric Miniscalco, and Eden Miniscalco. He is the beloved brother of Jeanette Spera, Joseph Mahoney, Maureen Mahoney, and the late John Mahoney.
