Springfield, MA – Stephanie Louise Arnum - Ocasio, age 49, of Springfield, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at home. She was the wife of Santiago Ocasio.
Stephanie was born in New Bedford, MA, where she enjoyed working with and was great at, laying down flooring. She moved to Springfield, MA and several years later worked as a PCA for her grandmother. She is the daughter of the late Joann Joy Arnum.
Stephanie is survived by her father, Paul Barros of MA, her sisters, Elsie Colon and Erica Bailey, both from MA. Her children, Robert Jerry Handy, Johnathan DosSantos, Raymond Oliveira, Jr., Cyrel Lopes, and Joycelynne Lopes. She also has 7 grandchildren and a nephew, Rafael Colon, all from MA, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Stephanie would always remind you to take care of yourself first, then look after others whenever possible.
She could make anyone feel better, especially if they were feeling down or unhappy.
A service for Stephanie will take place on Saturday, April 6th from 2 -4 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private. Donations in Stephanie's memory may be made directly to the funeral home.
