WORCESTER-Marian E. (Gee) Bowles, 78, of 485 Grove St. formerly of Whipple St. died Sunday, Jan 1 in the Coes Pond Hospice Residence.
Her husband, Kenneth Bowles died in 1985. She leaves her daughter, Maureen L. Nelson of W. Townsend; a sister, Margaret Rodgers of Sharon; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Margaret A. Bowles and a brother, George Gee predeceased her.
She was born in Haydock, England the daughter of George and Fannie (Guest) Gee and came to America in 1957 and settled in Worcester in 1963. Marian worked as a payroll clerk at Norton Company for many years retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church.
Funeral services and burial will take place in St. Helen’s, England. LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. is directing local arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Care Network, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
