O’BRIEN Linda A. (Sheehan) Longtime resident of West Roxbury, passed away on March 20, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late James F. O’Brien. Devoted mother of James F. O’Brien and his wife Virna of Franklin, Christine Chevrette and her husband Paul (Det. BPD) and Peter O’Brien (BPD) and his wife Alexis all of West Roxbury. Loving grandmother and "Mimi" of Jake, Lindsay, Ryleigh, Timothy, Michael, Tyler, Kenzie, and the late Jayson. Dear sister of Daniel Sheehan and his wife Christina, Janice Froment and her husband David all of Norwood, and Deborah Sheehan of Chestnut Hill. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Proud graduate of Girl’s Latin School 1962, Boston State College, and Boston College. Member of the Alumni Association at Boston State College. Linda worked as a volunteer at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate. She was a longtime employee of Boston College and UMass Boston. Linda loved vacationing in Truro with family and friends and traveling with her girlfriends.
Visiting hours at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty and Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Sunday, March 24th from 3-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, March 25th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church at 10am. Relatives & friends kindly invited. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
