Gloria F. DeMagistris,93, of Cooper Road, Glocester, died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. DeMagistris.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Florence (Westberg) Cannavo. She had lived in Glocester for many years.
Gloria had graduated from the Edgewood Secretarial School in 1944.
She had been a secretary for the VA Medical Center in Providence before retiring.
She leaves her son, Joseph A. Couturier, Jr. and his wife Jo-Ann of Glocester and a grandson: Michael J. Couturier of Chepachet, a sister, Joan Vellucci of Lincoln, and stepchildren: David A. DeMagistris of Providence, Karen A. Carlson of Scituate, Linda J. Dorval of Hope, Wendy A. Lachance of Baldwin, MO, Sandra J. Bowser of North Scituate, and Marie C. Smith of Smithfield. She was the sister of the late Anthony Cannavo and Agnes Peckham and stepmother of the late William D. DeMagistris.
