BRADENTON, FL: Lyn A. (Chandler) Gay, age 50, a former longtime resident of Tewksbury, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at her home.
Born in Lowell, MA on September 14, 1955, she was the daughter of Janet (Stackpole) (Chandler) Brown, who survives her of Lowell and the late Charles R. Chandler, Sr.
Ms. Gay was raised in Tewksbury.
She attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1973.
Following graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Lowell.
Ms. Gay was currently employed as a hairstylist in Bradenton, FL. She previously owned and operated Silver Scissors Salon and Salon East both of Tewksbury.
Prior to moving to Florida in 2004, she resided in Andover and Groton.
She enjoyed playing tennis and socializing with her clients, friends and family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter; Janet L. French and her husband David of Dracut; two sons; Daniel F. Gay and his companion Jody Hughes and Edward C. Gay and his companion Dawn Wentworth all of Lowell; two grandchildren; Allyn and Graeme French both of Dracut; two brothers; Charles R. Chandler, Jr. and his companion Donna Donohue and Edward C. Chandler and his companion Sharon Armstead all of Lowell; also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.
