Obituary

WEBSTER – Alice B. (Nadolski) Kozub, 97, died Friday, March 15, 2019 at Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard with her family at her side. Her husband of 70 years, Alphonse J. Kozub, died in 2012.

She leaves 2 daughters, Janice M. Kokernak of Webster, and Nancy A. Cheever and her husband Francis of Oxford; 4 grandchildren, Scott Kokernak, Kim Kokernak, Christine Walker and Jeffrey Jarosz; 4 great-granddaughters, Alexandra, Brooke, Alexis and Elizabeth; a sister, Clara Nadolski of San Diego, CA; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, by 2 stepbrothers, by 4 sisters and by her son-in-law, James B. Kokernak.

She was born in Dudley on July 31, 1921, a daughter of John and Mary (Konicki) Nadolski and lived in Webster since 1922. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1939.

Mrs. Kozub worked at Webster Shoe Company as a packer for 15 years. She then was a homemaker, a task that she relished. She and her late husband Al used to enjoy listening to and dancing to Polka music. She loved being with her family.

She was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph Basilica and belonged to the Holy Rosary Sodality and the Sacred Heart Society.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 20, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the Mass. Donations in her name may be made to either St. Joseph Basilica or to St. Joseph School, both at 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570.
