
WORCESTER____Jan Piascik, 93, of Worcester, died Thursday December 29 in Life Care Center of Auburn. He leaves his wife of 72 years, Marianna (Macko) Piascik, two sons, Bernard J. Piascik of Worcester and Richard Piascik of Seminole, FL; two daughters, Elizabeth wife of Zdzislaw Janeczak of Sutton and Julie A. Parzych of Millbury; two brothers, Bronislaw Piascik of Poland and Tadeusz Piascik of Sweden; two sisters, Helena Sieniewicz and Zofia Szurkalo, both of Poland; nine grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. He was born in Nowogrod, Poland, son of Jozef and Aleksandra (Pardo) Piascik. He has resided in Worcester since coming to the United States in 1963.
Mr. Piascik was a blacksmith 18 years for John J. Adams Co. and retired in 1981. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday January 3 with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Memorial Fund, 34 Ward St., Worcester, 01610.
