Judith L. "Judy" Perry, 64, of New Bedford died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at home after a long illness.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Josephine N. (Pina) and Domingo Peter Perry,she had lived in New Bedford for all of her life.
Mrs. Perry was known for her loving role as a longtime crossing guard at Carney Academy in New Bedford. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Cape Verdean American Veterans Association.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting.
Survivors include her companion, Paul Barnett; two daughters, Rosemary P. Perry and her husband John Tabor of Florida and Rhonda J. Perry of New Bedford; her sister, Roberta Davis of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Zayden and D.J.; her Godson, Robert Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Charles Perry, Joan Simmons, and Sheila Washington.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 9 AM.
