Jean V. Palmer of Duxbury, a former Needham resident died on Friday December 23rd at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was 82 years old. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Palmer was a graduate of the Toledo Hospital School on Nursing. She left nursing to raise her family. She had lived in Gardner MA and Concord MA before moving to Needham in 1962. She was an active member of the Needham community, volunteering countless hours for the Red Cross Bloodmobiles. She was an active member of the Congregational Church of Needham as a Nursery School teacher and with the Annual Holly Bazaars as well. In 1984, Mrs. Palmer and her husband retired to Duxbury, where she resided until her death. The beloved wife of the late Harley M. Palmer, she was the mother of Judy P. O’Toole of Framingham, Joanne P. Lavallee of Harrisville, RI, Janet L. Palmer of Duxbury and spouses. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Congregational Church of Needham, 1154 Great Plain Avenue Needham on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM.
