Obituary

WEBSTER –Walter F. Boyko, 87, of 272 Kildeer Island, died Thursday, Dec. 29, in Webster Manor. His wife of 54 years, Cecilia B. (Dembinski) Boyko, died in 2001.

He leaves his sister, Stasia Misiaszek of Putnam, CT; many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Webster, a son of Frank J. and Mary (Grzymek) Boyko, and lived here all his life.

Mr. Boyko was a photo engraver at Allied Printing in Manchester, CT for many years, retiring in 1984. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was an accomplished accordionist, playing with the Four Aces. He built his own home and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Basilica.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Monday, Jan. 2, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Saint Joseph School Immediate Needs Fund, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570
