Elinor C. Baker, 76 years of Easton, formerly of Brockton, died Wednesday evening at Radius Healthcare Center in Easton after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Doris (Coulter) Baker. She was a 1947 graduate of Brockton High School and had been employed as a clerk at Edgars and Frasers Department stores in Brockton.
In her youth Elinor enjoyed dancing, listening to Mario Lanza records, knitting and time spent at the beach. For the past 20 years she had been a resident at the Village Rest Home in both South Easton and Brockton, and Radius Healthcare Center in Easton.
She is survived by two nieces Elaine Baker of Brockton, and Candace Gabbard of Marshfield, her sister in law Wilma Baker of Hingham, and two great nephews Colin Kunik and Zachary Gabbard. She was the sister of the late Arthur F. Baker.
A Graveside service will be held at a later date in Coweeset Cemetery, Brockton.
