Bernice M. Goodman, 83, of Cordele passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 in Sumter County.
Bernice was born on September 3, 1935 in Crisp County to the late Oscar Glaton and Nora Belle Hancock Presley. She was affectionately known as Jip by her family. She was a Baptist and a retired seamstress.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Goodman Smith of Cordele; brother, Royce (Mary) Presley of Ashburn; sisters, Loretta (Kenneth) Wallace of Ashburn, Norma (Larry) Manley of Leesburg and Glenda Conley of Tifton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Raymond Goodman and her siblings Mary "Sweetheart" Hauesler, Jimmy Presley, Floyd Presley, Hubert Presley, William Presley, Delia Law, Everett Prestley and Ronald Presley.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel with private interment to follow at Arabi Cemetery. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
