Tommy Lewis Perry, Sr., 68, of Griffin, formerly of Tifton, died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, January 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Oakridge Cemetery. The Rev. Byron Perry will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, December 31, 2005 at Bowen-Donaldson.
Mr. Perry was born February 13, 1937 in Tift County and was the son of Alvin Jackson Perry, who died in 1982, and Christine Martin Perry, who died in 1985. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Perry. He was a retired truck driver with Georgia Highway Express and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Perry is survived by a daughter: Marla Brinley of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sons: Mark Perry and Tommy Perry, both of Kentucky; 5 sisters: Eunice Johnson of Alpharetta, Brenda Stone of Tifton, Janice Brewer of Griffin, Virginia Fowler of Tifton and Sue Guess of Tifton; 2 grandchildren: Deborah Trotter and Scott Brinley; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
