Mrs. Doris A. (Stoppelbein) Ford, a resident of North Andover and beloved wife of the late Joseph Ford, passed away at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on Friday, February 15, 2019. She was 89 years old.
Born in New York, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Myles and Anne (Feerick) Stoppelbein. Mrs. Ford loved to read and do all kinds of word puzzles. She also enjoyed visiting the Grand Canyon. Above all she was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving children; Diane P. and her husband Rodger E. Wilson of Danvers, Thomas J. Crowley of Texas and James L. Crowley of Phoenix, Arizona, grandchildren; Shauna, Kristin, Heather, Shane, Chloe, Jack, Adam and Daniel, great-grandchildren; Anya, Kayla, Samantha, Patrick, Miles and Theo. Doris was also the loving mother of the late Michael J. Crowley.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Saturday, prior to the mass, at 9 AM. Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
