Dorothy M. (Jalovicars) Sweeney died Tuesday evening at BayPointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of failing health. Born in Concord, NH she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Margaret E. (Abriel) Jalovicars. She had been a resident of Brockton since 1957; had previously resided in Boston and graduated from high school in Boston. During WWII she was employed by the Hood Rubber Company in Boston and later by the Berwick Baking Company, Boston. Before her retirement she was employed by Sylvia Dress Company in Jamaica Plain as a trimmer. She was a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church and is survived by her son Terrence T. Sweeney of Brockton and several cousins.
