Marcelle T. Allen, age 83, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Tuesday, February 19,2019, surrounded by her loving family at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. She was born in Lawrence, MA on October 23, 1935, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Dube) Doyon.
Marcelle was a long-time resident of Methuen, MA and this is where she made it her life's work of raising and caring for her family with unconditional and unending love. She particularly adored children and this passion extended into her professional life by having her own home daycare, where she was able to gift that love to many more. Her most favorite times were those hours spent with her grandchildren just talking about their day.
Marcelle will be deeply missed by her husband, Harold Allen; their three children, Michelle Broadhurst and her husband, Tim of Londonderry, NH, Monique Fong and her husband, Tom of Berlin, MA, and Scott Allen and his wife, Chris of Manchester, NH; her ten grandchildren, Bryce, Payton, Jared, Haley, Landry, Colby, Reyanna, Jack, Sarah and Teige; two brothers and sister in laws, Kenny and Moe Doyon and Bill and Joyce Doyon; as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marlene, Jackie, Annette and her brother Joe.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 1 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday February 25th at 10:30am in St. Mark’s Parish, One South Road, Londonderry.
