Joan R. Costigan, 79, formerly of Forand Circle, Johnston, died Monday, February 18, 2019 at Briarcliff Manor in Johnston. She was the widow of John E. Costigan, Jr.
Born in Norwich, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Laura (Lavander) Bouchard. She had lived in Johnston since 1961.
She is survived by her daughters: Priscilla Fox and her husband, Richard of Johnston and Cindy Masse and her husband, Donald of Johnston, her grandchildren: Jason Costigan of Coventry, Frank Coccia of Worcester, MA, Eric Masse of Warwick, and her great grandchildren: Paige and Abigail Costigan of Coventry, Isobel Rose of Norway, Liam and Norah Coccia of Worcester, MA and Vanessa and Walter Gemma of South Carolina.
She was the mother of the late Edward J. Costigan, grandmother of the late Jessica Masse Gemma and sister of the late Charles Bouchard, Jr.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, February 25, 2019 at Noon in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Park, Johnston. Visitation Monday morning 11-12noon.
