Obituary

James Evans Paul of Mystic died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. Jim was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on July 26, 1933.

He moved to Noank, CT in 1944 and worked at Electric Boat from 1952 to 1992 as a rigger.

He enjoyed his time in Noank being by the water, fishing and sailing. He has been a resident of Mystic since his marriage to Joan (Nye) in 1957. She survives him. He is also survived by his daughter Diane and her partner Mark Miller, sons Dan and his wife Ginger, Tim and his wife Kim, and Tom and his wife Alisha, as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 23, at 10am at the Union Baptist Church, 119 High Street, Mystic with a reception to follow. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to The National Association of the Deaf. (https://www.nad-community.org/make-a-gift-to-nad/).
