In Taunton, Lena L. Blackwell, February 18, 2019, Lena passed away peacefully in Morton Hospital with her loving family by her side at the age of 95. Lena was the wife of the late Louis Blackwell. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late John & Jennie (Guarracin) Tigano. Lena had resided all her life in Taunton. She was educated in Taunton schools and a graduate of Taunton High School. Lena enjoyed cooking, crocheting, volunteering for the Boy Scouts and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, John Blackwell and his wife Cynthia of Taunton, Robert Blackwell of Taunton, Thomas Blackwell and his wife Patricia of Taunton, Charles Blackwell and wife Carol-Anne of Rehoboth, Sandra Simpson and husband Frank of Taunton, Sandra Primo and husband Andrew of Taunton and the late James Blackwell. She was the last of six siblings and also leaves her beloved grandchildren, John Jr., Little Lena, Steven, Kelly, Tony, Angela, Robert Jr., Shawn, Sheena, Thomas Jr., Kristen, Timothy, Jennie, Apryll, Brandee, Cerisa, Charleigh, Gianna, Scott and several great and great great grandchildren and the late Tina and Tammy. Funeral home visiting hours will be held on Monday from 9:30-11am. at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780. A funeral home service will be held at 11am. Followed by her burial in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
