Alvin “Willis” Tucker, 73, of Moultrie passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Tallahassee Medical Center in Tallahassee, Florida. A family memorial service will be held for Mr. Tucker at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019, at 1557 U. S. Highway 319 South in Moultrie.
Born on August 19, 1945 in Tift County, Mr. Tucker was the son of the late Ruby Bryan Tucker and the Rev. Arthur Willis Tucker. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Tucker, Sr. Before retiring, he worked in the Maintenance Department at Heat Craft. He loved carpentry, woodworking and played guitar, as well as several other instruments. He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the 503rd Infantry Regiment in Vietnam. He also served as a Military Policeman at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his daughter, Michelle Tucker of Tifton; one sister, Louise Walker of Tallahassee, Florida; three grandchildren and their spouses, Justin and Allison Tucker of Savannah, Sean Watson of Lakeland and Devin Sr. and Cassandra Tucker of Tifton; two great-grandchildren, Devin Tucker, Jr. and Remmy Tucker; two nephews, Jimmy Tucker, Jr. and Jeffery Tucker, both of Moultrie; and two nieces, Dawn Walker and Karen Spivey, both of Tallahassee, Florida
