Obituary

WESTBROOK- Jackie “Jack” Wayne Ross, age 63, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2019, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Jack was born in Portland, Maine on March 7, 1955, a son of the late Maurice and Madeline (Devoe) Ross.

Jack graduated from Falmouth High School. Jack was self employed as a building contractor for many years. He also was a part of the farmers market world where he was a vendor for seafood.

Jack was quite the people person, he always took the time to thank a veteran for their service, strike up a conversation with a random stranger and he always made an attempt to put a smile on someone's face every day. Jack enjoyed fishing, boating, bird hunting with his English Setter; Maddie Mae; but mainly spending time with his family and friends who he loved with all his heart.

He is predeceased by his brother Warren Ross, his sisters Cheryl Lane, Connie Hansen, Betty Gagnon and Shirley Hansen.

Jack is survived by his fiancé Tonya Bennett; his children- Jason Drinon of Portland; Danielle Ross of Haverhill, MA; Schylar Brann of Westbrook; Carley Brann Taylor and her wife Kaylin of Bath; Tonya’s sons- Dylan Dunphe of Portland; Hunter Clukey of South Portland; his brother- Gary Ross and wife Judy of Windham; his grandchildren- Austin; Coale; Lilly; Carter; Abel; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Evans and all the staff at NECS for all their support and guidance through the years and thank Hospice of Southern Maine for their support and comfort of Jack in his final days.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
