NEW BEDFORD — Joseph S. Lima, age 91 years, formerly of Grinnell Street and County Street, died at Sacred Heart Nursing Home on January 27, 2019.
Born in New Bedford 10/2/27, he was son of the late Frank and Ludvina Mello Lima and had 14 brothers and sisters.
A graduate of N.B. High School and Swain School of Design, he was a mill worker, a business owner and a security guard working well into his 80s.
Survivors include his sister Sally Reis and many nieces and nephews and a son Scott.
A time of remembrance will take place on Monday, February 18th, at 1 P.M. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., N.B. Burial will be at a later date. www.wilsonchapel.net
