SWANSEA – Duarte Da Silva, age 78 of Swansea, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 13, 2019. Born in Sete Cidades, Sao Miguel, Acores, he was the son of the late Jose Pereira Da Silva & Serafina Dos Anjos (Pereira) Da Silva and the beloved husband of Natalia (Da Silva) Da Silva for 56 yrs. Prior to retiring, Duarte worked for TPI Boat Manufacturer as a Project Manager for 50 yrs. He was also a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
In addition to his wife, is survived by his son: Steven Da Silva; son in law: Daniel Langer-Da Silva both of Swansea; his beloved granddaughters: Sabrina & Savanah Da Silva; several nieces & nephews from Massachusetts & Canada. He was the brother of the late Deodata Teves.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, Feb. 22nd at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
