SPENCER: Joan A. (Lacroix) Madrazo, 86, of Howe Village, died Monday, Feb. 11th. at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She leaves her daughter Debra A. Waugh of Spencer with whom she lived, her two sons Gary Madrazo of Spencer and Kevin Madrazo of N.Brookfield, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a great great grandson, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her children; Robert, Darlene and Doreen Madrazo. She is the last of 14 brothers and sisters.
Joan was a longtime restaurateur working in the field and owning Schooner Restaurant in No.Brookfield before retiring in 1998.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of William and Lydia (Lamothe) Lacroix and later graduated from David Prouty High School.
A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Noon in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in the Spring in Walnut Grove Cemetery, No.Brookfield. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
