Sherry Ann Busbin Potts, 50, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service, with family and close friends, will be held for Mrs. Potts at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Jerry Riggs will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 14, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born August 13, 1968 in Tifton, Mrs. Potts was the daughter of Peggy Sue Sumner Busbin of Tifton and the late Robert Eugene “Buddy” Busbin, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Joy Busbin. She received her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from ABAC and was employed at the Center for Pain Management in Tifton. She was a member of the Tifton Missionary Baptist Church, where she was actively involved, and she loved going to Mexico Beach, Florida.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Potts is survived by her husband, Al Potts of Tifton; two sons, Jacob Potts and Luke Potts, both of Tifton; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Robert Jr. and Sharon Busbin and Bobby John Busbin and his fiance’, Lori Bowden, all of Tifton; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Leonard Chambless and Jessica and Heath Carmichael, all of Tifton and Judy and Bruce Larson of Illinois.
