Obituary

Richard Clyde Lynch, 86, of Moultrie passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Lynch at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Stephen Norris officiating. Mr. Lynch will be laid to rest at a later date.

Born February 3, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio, Mr. Lynch was the son of the late Hershal Clyde Lynch and Ruth Catherine Parkinson Lynch. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Karol Frances Lynch; one grandson, R. David Lynch; one brother, Robert Lynch; and four sisters, Martha Ann North, Margaret Baker, Florence Dever and Ruth Hesse. Before retiring, he worked as a switch operator for the railroad and was of the Baptist faith. He love woodworking and had lived in Moultrie for 18 years. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Lynch is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert and Belinda Lynch of Ty Ty and Richard Lynch of Cairo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Keith Kenney of Reevesville, South Carolina and Cathy and Frank Weaver of Milledgeville; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
