Donna June Thomas-Jernigan, 57, of Enigma (Tift County) passed away Monday, February 4, 2019, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Barnes Chapel in Enigma. Mrs. Jernigan will be laid to rest at a later date.
Born December 31, 1961 in Tift County, Mrs. Jernigan was the daughter of the late Walter Dan Montgomery and Wilma Grace Miles Montgomery. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne Jernigan; and one son, Charles Justin Thomas. She was a bookkeeper and a waitress and a member of Barnes Chapel in Enigma.
Mrs. Jernigan is survived by one son, Cory Stephen Thomas of Enigma; four daughters, Kimberly Rae Thomas and Dana Irene Marshall, both of Tifton, Cassandra Danelle Wiley of North Carolina and Clara Rain McCormick of Enigma; three step-children; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
