Shannon Amber Carey, age 36, of Boydton, VA, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019. She was born December 6, 1982 in Halifax County, VA and is the daughter of Grant Tyler Carey and Diana Millick Overby.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and an employee for Butler Woodcrafters in Chase City.
In addition to her parents, Shannon is survived by her children, Makinsy Perry and Dominic Perry; two sisters, Danielle Alexander and Miranda Thomas; brother, Chad Overby and fiancé, Tara Foster; nieces and nephews, Dylan, William, Patrick, Koby, Kaitlyn, Ayana, Alani, “Dink,” Tucker, Isaac, and Isaiah; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Omari, Kamron, Makayla, D.J., and Kayleigh. She is also survived by her grandmother, Frances Carey; two aunts, Beverly Carey and Maxine Carey; and three uncles, Todd Carey, Danny Millick, Jr., and Jeffrey Millick.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
