FALL RIVER – Jose L. Teixeira, age 67 of Fall River, passed away on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Terceira, Açores, he was the son of the late Jose T. Sousa and the late Analia (Gervasio) Sousa, and the beloved husband of Cecilia (Ferreira) Teixeira. Prior to retiring, Jose worked as a Laborer for Zoppo Construction Co.
In addition to his wife, Jose is survived by 2 sons: Joshua Teixeira (companion Johnetta Pearson) & Joey Teixeira of Fall River; stepchildren: Helen Ponte-Rego (husband Roland) of Fall River and John Ponte (wife Gretchen) of Middleboro; siblings: Agueda Correira of Fall River, Marianna Antonio of New Jersey, Antonio Sousa of Somerset, Helena Toste of Terceira, Açores; 7 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Carlos Sousa.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7th from 4-8 P.M. with a service at 6:00 P.M. in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 North Main Street, Fall River, MA. Cremation to follow.
