Obituary

Karen R. Houle, 70, of Snake Hill Road, died Friday in Elmhurst Extended Care, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Daniel E. “Danny” Houle. They had been married for 49 years.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late, Raymond F. and Mary F. (Andrews) Owens. She had lived in Glocester for many years previously living in East Providence. She was a Teacher’s Aide for Northwest Learning Center. She had also worked at Woman and Infants Hospital and was an EMT with the Harmony Fire Department Rescue.

Besides her husband, she leaves her children, Michael Houle and his wife Dana of Glocester, Matthew Houle and his wife Jamon Nugent of Glocester, Danielle Houle of Glocester, her sisters, Jackie White of Greenville and Amy Raymond of Bradenton, FL. She also leaves her Grandchildren, Aaron, Antonio, Averee and Aiden Bailey of Glocester, RaeAnne and John Houle of Glocester.

Her funeral will be Wednesday at 8:30am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am in St. Philip church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial Private. Visitation Tuesday from 4-7pm.
