William Avery Brown, 51, of Tifton passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. W. E. Fogarty officiating. Mr. Brown will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Born June 12, 1967 in Tift County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late William Thomas Brown and Elizabeth Harris Wiggins. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Lee Sexton Brown; one brother, Christopher James Brown; and one sister, Pam Howell. Before retiring, he was a painter in the construction business and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Brown is survived by two sons, A. J. Brown of Tifton and Jamie Sexton of Rome; four daughters, Michelle Brown of Moultrie, Ashley Sexton of Rome and Kelly Reeves and Jessica Walker, both of Tifton; three brothers, William David Brown, Carl Bentley and Curtis Bentley, all of Ty Ty; two sisters, Ann Bentley of Ty Ty and Elizabeth Hamilton of Savannah; and twelve grandchildren.
