Joyce Marie Luke Fletcher, 88, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Senior Care Center in Brunswick.
She was born on December 31, 1930 in Turner County to the late Olan G. and Lilly Mae Nelson Luke. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of First Baptist Church in Waycross, a homemaker and a retired factory worker. She loved her Sunday School class and was a faithful worker in the church. She loved flowers especially amaryllis. She also enjoyed yard work. Making cakes and pies for her family and friends was one of her favorite pastimes. She was also an avid card player.
She is survived by her sons, Teddy (Debbie) Fletcher of Sycamore and Phil (Connie) Fletcher of Brunswick; grandchildren, Kelley (Peter) Wilson of Sycamore and Kristy (Jon) Penuel of Adel; step-grandchildren, David (Shari) Kurtz, Kevin Kurtz, Keith Kurtz; great-grandchildren, Drew Lee Wilson and Jacey Anna Wilson; ten step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elias M. Fletcher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, February 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
