Obituary

Amy P. Jacobs, 45

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Amy P. Jacobs, age 45, of Mansfield, formerly of Attleboro and Norton, passed away unexpectedly, following a long illness on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the longtime loving companion of twenty-one years of Bruce D. Gallagher with whom she made her home.

Born in Attleboro, MA on August 17, 1973, she was a loving daughter of Leo M. Jacobs of Bellingham and the late Patricia J. (Nicholson) Jacobs.

Amy grew up in Norton and Attleboro and was a 1992 graduate of Attleboro High School. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past twenty years and had previously been employed as a bartender at Pete’s Place in Canton.

Most of all, Amy treasured the times spent with her family, especially with Bruce, her children and granddaughter. She enjoyed cooking, attending country western concerts and at the time of her death was anticipating the birth of her second grandchild.

In addition to Bruce and her father, she is survived by her devoted children: Jaynie E. Jacobs and her fiancé Anthony Tasselari of Bellingham and Rory T. Jacobs-Gallagher of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Jeremy C. Jacobs of Bellingham. She was the cherished grandmother of Alexa J. Tasselari and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, February 2nd from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
