Obituary

Gregory W. Tentas, 59, of Manchester passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his home. Born on January 19, 1960 in Manchester, NH he was the son of Katherine (Murphy) Scaramella of Manchester and was predeceased by his loving father, Aristides Tentas.
He attended Manchester West High School and UNH Manchester.
In 2007 he retired from Infusion Solutions Pharmacy in Bedford.
To know Gregory was to love him. He was kind, compassionate, and generous; his heart was never closed to those in need. He recognized the best in everyone. His magnetic personality garnered a large group of cherished friends. Gregory was known for giving the best advice, the funniest joke, and always having an open ear. He put others before himself and gave himself fully to every interaction. He was the kind of person who changed lives for the better.
Gregory’s passion and sense of humor made him one of the most exciting people to be around. Whether he was exploring the nearby mountains, relaxing on the beach, watching his favorite college basketball teams, or entertaining a crowd with one of his amazing stories, there was never a dull moment around Gregory. The enthusiasm Gregory displayed through his larger-than-life personality showed that, to him, whatever was worth getting into was worth getting lost in.
Above all, Gregory’s absolute greatest joy was his family. He was a truly dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, and he was looking forward to the arrival of another grandson in June 2019. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, wife, Janice (St. Jean) Tentas; daughter, Hayley (Jonathan) Grenier; stepsons, Nicholas (Christine) Makris, John (Samantha) Makris, grandchildren Jacob Makris, Matthew Makris, Mason Makris, and Thomas Grenier. His brother Charles (Jane) Tentas, sisters, Patricia (Thomas) Walter, and Barbara Tentas (Bassem) Alnahas. Additionally Gregory had many cousins, nieces, and nephews he loved very much. Last, but certainly not least, his beloved Black Russian Terriers Harry and Penelope.
A memorial reception will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4 to 7 pm at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
