Carlene M. Wampler, age 62, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday January 24, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Saint Anne’s Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Bill Hardin and the late Lena M. (Carvalho) Marion.
Carlene graduated from UMASS Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1983, served her country honorably in the U.S. Army, spent the past thirty years working at Bristol Community College in security and as a librarian before retiring last year. She enjoyed nature, chemistry, playing the piano, singing and was an avid reader. Carlene also participated in annual cancer walks since 2003.
She is survived by her brother Jimmie L. Wampler, her godson Chad Lefleur, and sister in-law and best friend, JoAnn Wampler, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Beverly A. Bundy and the late Wilton D. Wampler.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday here at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
