Victor M. “Sonny” Cerruti, age 83, passed away on Jan. 25, 2019 at Wingate of South Hadley surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 16, 1935 in Holyoke, MA. A son of the late Dante and Ruth (Mahoney) Cerruti. Sonny worked for the Autron Paper Mill in the shipping and receiving department for many years before he retired. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rita (Roy) Cerruti of Chicopee; his children Lisa Cerruti of Chicopee, Michael Goncalves and his wife Peggy of Holyoke, Richard Goncalves and his wife Jeanne of Redding, PA, Linda Bergeron and her husband Richard of Westfield, Diane Kozloski and her husband Greg of FL, and Susan Kneeskern of Redding, PA; 1 sister Geraldine Roy of Chicopee; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother Francis Cerruti and also by his sister Beverly Cerruti. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday Jan. 30, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home followed by A Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Assumption Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
