CHICOPEE ~ Mary Ann Peery, 59, a longtime resident of Montcalm Heights in the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, January 25, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on September 18, 1959, a beloved daughter of the late Donald W. and Catherine R. (O’Neil) Peery. During her early years, she lived in many places with her family as her father was a career Air Force veteran before her family settled in Chicopee in 1966. She graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1977. Mary was a loving homemaker and opened her home to her family and many friends that she cared for over many years. Mary had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves her beloved daughter, Holly J. Peery and her partner, Matthew King, of Chicopee; her six loving siblings, Constance S. Clark of Tampa, FL, and Karen M. Peery, Donald W. Peery, Jr., Michael N. Peery and his partner, Gayle Booth, James P. Peery and his partner, Kelly Boudin, and Mark A. Peery and his partner, Patricia Wholley, all of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous friends including her wonderful neighbor and lifelong friend, Lorraine Justice of Chicopee and her family. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her lifelong friend and companion, Robert Chapdelaine. Her family will receive friends on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 376 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01105, (Please meet directly at the church). Her Burial will follow the Funeral Service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
