Antonio G. Santos, age 79, of Fall River, passed away on Friday January 25, 2019 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Rabo de Peixo, São Miguel, Açores he was the son of the late Jose C. and Ana (Faria) Santos, and husband of Maria T. (Travassos) Santos of 54 years. Antonio was a member of the St. Michael’s Club and the Amigos de Rabo de Peixo, and enjoyed playing cards, making wine, and telling jokes.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Antone Santos (wife Adriana), Ronald Santos (wife Joanne), and Theresa Dextraze (husband Jason), siblings: Lindaura Medeiros of Canada, John Santos, and Mary Jo Santos, grandchildren: Ryan, Zachary, Logan, Aaron, Nathan, and Gwendolyn, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jose Santos.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday Jan. 31st here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday Jan. 30th from 4-8 P.M.
