Obituary

Mr. Charles W. "Sam" Dillon, a longtime resident of Methuen, died on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 61 years old.

Born in Lawrence on January 10, 1958, he was the beloved son of Adele (Hunt) Dillon and the late Charles W. Dillon, Jr. Sam was a Master mechanic and worked for his family business, C. W. Dillon, Inc. and at area dealerships for many years. In his spare time, Sam enjoyed reading science fiction novels, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Besides his mother, Adele, Sam is survived by his loving children Charles W. Dillon, IV and Brittany J. Dillon, their mother, Joy Dillon, and his siblings John E. Dillon and Linda J. Dillon. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

His funeral service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 4-7 PM. Interment will be privately held.
