Dolores A. (Ritchott) Pietras, age 75, passed away on Jan. 23, 2019 in the presence of her loving family and friendly staff from Mount Saint Vincent Nursing Home. She was born on June 22, 1943 in Springfield, a daughter of the late Paul and Ann (Gawron) Ritchott. Dolores graduated from Holy Name School in 1961. She worked as an office secretary at Spaulding, where she met her husband David. Dolores also worked at Steigers in the Springfield Plaza and later as a sales clerk for Filenes and Macy's in the Clinique Makeup Department at the Holyoke Mall for over 20 years. Dolores was known for the personal care she gave each of her customers. She was a communicant of St Stanislaus Basilica. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, David Pietras of Chicopee; 1 son Mark Pietras and his wife Hollie of Franklin, MA; her brother Ken Ritchott and his friend Phyllis of Chicopee and her beloved granddaughter Zoey; her sister-in-law Kathy Bineault of Chicopee; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dolores loved to attend her granddaughters school recitals; she loved to bake, frost cupcakes, walk on the beach and collect sea shells in Cape Cod, Bermuda, Nassau, St Lucia and her favorite vacation spot, Aruba where she had vacationed many times. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 9:00 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Stanislaus Basilica at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in St Stanislaus Cemetery.
