McCourt, Marguerite V. “Rita” (Kennedy) of Watertown, Needham and Wellesley, passed on January 23, 2019 less than a month before turning 105. Beloved wife of the late George M. McCourt to whom she was married for 56 years. Loving mother of Marie Donnellan of Needham, Clare and Patrick Smith of Needham, Edward and Pamela McCourt of Wellesley. Cherished grandmother of eight and great grandmother of thirteen. Rita lived life to the fullest and was blessed with a deep faith, a devoted family and many dear friends.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Wellesley, Saturday, January 26, at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 25, from 4-7pm. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Rita’s memory to Elizabeth Seton Residence, Activities Dept. 125, Oakland St. Wellesley, MA 02481.
