Thomas J. Mulvey III, 71, passed in peace on Monday, January 21, 2019. He was the devoted husband for forty-three years of Sophia Marie (Reis) Mulvey. He leaves behind his beloved son and best friend, Thomas J. Mulvey IV and his wife, Kayla, his brother, James Mulvey of Scituate, his wife, Elizabeth Mulvey and their two daughters Emily and Lauren. He was brother to the late Susan Mulvey.
Born in Providence, Thomas was a son of the late Thomas and Claire (Manning) Mulvey II. He lived for over thirty years in Burrilville, having moved from the East Providence and Rumford area.
Thomas had worked as Nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital for many years. He had been an ER Technician in RI Hospital. He was a great lover of music, and had played tuba in the Rhode Island Philharmonic. He also loved being a soccer coach, especially for his son.
Thomas will be fondly remembered as a loving husband and father, distinguished musician, avid animal lover, and proud caretaker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Greenville. A brief service will take place beginning at 6:30pm. His funeral will be private.
